EDSIGCON/CONISAR Conferences Chair

As the 2020 Conference Chair, it is my honor to welcome you virtually to the ISCAP Conference on Information Systems and Computing Education (EDSIGCON) and the Conference on Information Systems Applied Research (CONISAR). In our sixth year EDSIG has organized its joint conferences with ISCAP (Information Systems & Computing Academic Professionals, Inc.). Since the early 1980's, EDSIG members have helped to advance education and applied research in Information Systems and Computing by helping to support conferences and journals. Our two conferences act as pathways to the Information Systems Education Journal (ISEDJ) and Journal of Information Systems Applied Research (JISAR) as well as to the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE).

We are fortunate to have support from corporate and industry sponsors: Cengage Learning, Mendix and Prospect Press. Please consider attending our sponsors workshops and presentations. Additionally, we have received special support for the ZOOM broadcasting from: California Lutheran College, University of Michigan Dearborn, Sam Huston State University, Siena College, West Texas A&M University, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

We should all thank this year’s talented group of volunteers: Jeff Babb, Nesrin Bakir, Victor Berardi, Greg Blundell, Jeff Cummings, Yaprak Dalat-Ward, Scott Hunsinger, Lionel Mew, James Pomykalski and Leslie Waguespack. Also, we owe special gratitude to Neelima Bhatnagar, Biswadip Ghosh, Paul Witman and Ira Goldstein along with their assistant chairs who helped coordinate the review process for the submitted works. Additionally, this conference would not be possible without the dedication of webmaster, Eric Breimer, and our meeting planner and journal publisher, Tom Janicki. Finally, we need to express special thanks to Anthony Serapiglia for his efforts to serve as the Co-Conference chair in organizing the Zoom hosts to keep our conference flow smoothly. Finally we want to thank Robert Morris University from Pittsburgh who has 10 registered delegates and both Appalachian State University and the University of North Caroline from Wilmington with 7 registered!!! The goal of EDSIGCON and CONISAR is to bring together educators and industry professionals to share ideas, innovations and strategies through peer review editing to improve our teaching and research. This effort makes our conferences valuable to educators and academic professionals alike.
